BET awards 2006 The show is on right now, and Prince just received an award, but I can't remember if he performs or not. Anyone know? I would like to tape it since I no longer have access to old Prince videos  | |

He was the very last performer of the night. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

thanks. I missed this when it first aired. According to the old thread, he should be on soon for the Chaka tribute with Stevie Wonder. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

I can't believe what they said b4 the break "a performance from the always interesting, Prince" Interesting? that sounds like a backhand compliment 2 me. [after seeing the performance] Yeah, 3121 isn't really that much more impressive live. However, that was some hot  action he had going on there. But it would have sounded better w/o any back-up singers... and only one song? The only Prince part I did not see was his award
But I did see and record the rest of his stuff with Stevie Wonder and Chaka Kahn performance! 
I was dancin man! I did not see this last year. I thought he should have done another song at the end, but it turned out fine, every time he performs live it is the bomb! | |

Prince accepts an award, plays guitar and sings on the entire Chaka Khan tribute, and plays 3121 at the end.
Personally, I thought it was amazing seeing them all perform I Feel 4 U - with the person who originally wrote it (Prince) and the person who did the fantastic harmonica part in Chaka's version (Stevie Wonder) and the singer who took it to number one (Chaka). | |
