This thread needs to die THIS THREAD too depressing..... Yeah, it is a little 2 depressing... boy, if i want it to go away i should stop replying... anyway, this kinda reminds me of one performance i saw from the Musicology tour whe he started to sing "money don't matter 2night" and stopped, saying "this is 2 depressing... we've got enough troble in the world" & started doingg another hit of his"... thats probably what he thinks of this tread or would think of it if he saw it... he believes that music should be happy, to help us get away from our every day troubles. Part of the reason he wrote 1999 was becuz everyone in his band was so worried about y2k, so he decided for it to be a way for them to cheer up, etc. (That's also why im starting to consider the album... the songs ive heard off it make me happy and help forget about this thread) [Edited 4/12/07 7:46am] had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Another thing that I find highly ironic about threads like this is the fact that if everyone who "hated" these threads would stay the hell off them, they would probably find their way into obscurity quick.

Play every bit of music created by P, to include other artists, and party til I drop. I couldn't be sad that he's gone 4 I know where he went. "I don't make the rules. I just play"

2 things can happen when Prince dies.
1. Nothing happen 2. -Fans starting to search for one another. to tell the story's of the man. -after 5 years. They start to write all this story's down. -2 years later they will collect all the story's. 1 year later there will be a book and a website about Prince. The man, music and his love for God. -50 years later people all over the world tell the story about a man. Who healed the people who listens to his music. How many miracles he did with his music. Another 100 years later there will be a new praying. it's like: "Our Father, The son and the music of the Artist Amen". This comment has no sarcastic meaning.

I will say it again....Prince MUST outlive me. I don't know how I'd cope with his passing, I'd be an emotional mess. As I said in the other thread, I do hope he has a send off of former President/Royalty levels. And if I'm still alive, I'll be on a road trip to wherever that might be. Of course, that's if I can pull it together enough to leave the house. Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"
They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park ...

I'll probably drink a bottle o' wine. Shed a lil tear or two and watch Purple Rain. Maybe view a bootleg tape of a great concert, say a prayer for his soul and lament the fact that I never got a chance to tap that ass.

I would celebrate his life. I would rejoice in his music and party like it's 1999. I would play every album, watch every video, remember when I heard each song the first time, remember the impact each song had upon me, pull out my pictures of the first celebration and take a sabbatical to Paisley Park, and then I would awaken from the dream and remember that Prince will live forever in the hearts and minds of those that have been touched by his music for generations to come. His music will not just impact us and our children, but our children's children and so on. Music appreciation classes will teach about the musical genious, will play his cds to future college students, music scholarships will be set up in his name by anonymous prince fans who are waiting for the next genious to come along, and his statue would be erected in Minne as one of their greatest and most well-known citizens. Paisley Park would become a museum in honor of the purple one. And CJ would finally break down and cry and admit she was in love with him. My life would continue and Prince would continue to play in my cd player at all times, and I would bawl my eyes and heart out over the loss of such a great man, and I would try to continue to live my life loving others just as he always sang about because of the message his hero first gave to man 2000 years ago (Jesus). The world would be less funky without him there to bring the funk, but life continues as life is wont to do.
