in your life as a Prince fan, that u felt like quitting?? Stop being a fan? if so what was it that made u feel that way?? maybe another artist, bad business deal, he hurt u personally?

actually, these days i feel less like a fan than ever before

especially if he actually leaked news of the upcoming 3CD release to the press before telling premium members.

especially if our remaining 3 CDs for this year are songs we already have

don't get me wrong, i love him and his music and all but i'm not much inspired to follow his lead anymore

At one point during the web-site wars, I stopped listening to anything Prince. I couldn't understand why he would do that to the people who basically pay his bills.

As you can see I got over it, but after seeing all the fansites that aren't there anymore, it's so unfortunate that he lost a good portion of his fanbase. And for what?

Maybe someone else has the answers, because I sure don't.

To be honest, I've never seen "being a Prince fan" as a club which I would participate in or not participate in. My attitude was always "if I like the music, I'll buy it". So, if Prince pissed me off at some point as he has done a few times over the years (e.g. shutting down all the fansites, posting cryptic doublespeak rubbish on his website, overcharging for services and goods and then not delivering them as promised etc) that wouldn't stop me enjoying the old albums any less.

No Never! I Never will because Prince is the Greatest Musician and even if I bitch and Moan and yell at stuff I think is wrong or say something about Mani,well I don't mean it. I know they are only Human and I know things can't always be well Perfect. I may get loud,but it's all harmless and I don't ever get mad at him or anybody. His music is wonderful,and he's so much fun to watch. I could never give that Joy up ever.

Yes... he's done things that have caused me to stop being a fan, but that's kind of personal and more about me than him anyway.
