Tomorrow, once I've cleared my mind of Prince's music (and today's surplus of Jesse McCartney in celebration of his 20th bday- we'll be the same age 4 3 months and 20 days), I'll be ready to jump back into whatever songs come back into my head.

My mind was still buzzing about TGE, so I felt like I needed to take a day off from his music. But I'll have an answer tomorrow.

As far as TGRES, yes but... Now that i think about it, the verses feel like they're delivered as a ballad but the chorus and other sections feel different. Although, that song doesn't get enough love anyway, imo. I think TGRES was one of the last times, if not the final one, where Prince really attempted AND managed creating a first rate, classic "Traditional Prince" track. Since that point, even the really great ones seem derivative of earlier works.
It's, also, a shame that nothing else on Rave is remotely like this.

Oh, and I choose "The One"... too beautiful.
