Is Prince better than Bowie?? Yes, I'm cashing in on the new fad for 'Is Prince better than ...'! 
But I think this particular contest/ comparison is very appropriate. Both are/ were musical and pop image innovators. Both have been 'gender benders', and both have worked a lot as more-or-less one-man-bands (espec. Prince), as well as with great live and studio bands. I'm sitting on the fence on this one myself, so we'll see if anyone can persuade me either way. Let battle commence!! | |

That's cool Miles  only (imo, only) I think Prince is a better Artist that all these others' that are on the forum page right now..so if I participate in the thread, it is gonna seem like I have a one track/closed mind, so I choose not to participate.

i think there are vast similarities and vast differences. i can't compare the two in terms of who is "better". i love them both. | |

Ah, irony and the internet just don't mix, it seems.
This thread was created partly to be ironic in the light of all the 'Is Prince better than ...' threads, and partly as I think David Bowie is a figure slightly more comparable with P than some of the others.  | |
