$19.99 at Best Buy

$21.99 at Circuit City

$29.99 at Tower

$39.99 at Virgin

Ofcourse, add another $10 to all of these after the first week of release.

As for the UK price...way more expensive than any of these.

Cost at MPGMC: $20.00 + Shipping: $95.00 = $115.00
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Where in the membership does it state that members receive 4 cd's not available anywhere else? If I recall it says members will receive the new music first.

then after a year, cutout at amazon.com for $1.99 (they're out of stock of those $1.99 prices, but they have the out of print set for $5.98 used. haha.)
prince + emancipation + amazon

It says the following when you click 'join now' on the NPGMC website.

"Each 2002 member will receive at least 4 brand new Prince CDs in the mail from Paisley Park thruout the year*. Be the first 2 hear new music fresh from the mixing board. Instrumental music, Live music, solo piano albums, and many other xciting releases r already in the works within the Studio walls of Paisley Park. And u will get them first if u join now."

It doesn't mention exclusivity in that blurb, so I guess that the CD's could be part of the minimum 4 CD's. I guess that technically a 3CD set could complete the membership for 2002, but I would be surprised should that be the case. I would still personally be expecting two further releases before the year ends in February/March.
RIP sad

The club description was updated after the first wave of people signed up. It was more vague at first.

Hopefully its free to all the members... why would they send an email regarding the set saying "Check your emale and DOORSTEP SOON)

why would a club make that statement, and not deliver.. its a really crummy thing 2 say if its not an addition to members

hmm? the npgmc promised 4cds this year to members... so it looks as though the members who stayed home (aka couldn't afford $125 concert tickets or $250 tickets to the celebration) are paying [color=red:bf5181a903:e7c9cb9e21]$75 for the 3cd set... live & learn...

---

Stop bitching. Tickets prices are high for a lot acts today. The Rolling Stones tickets are going for $350.00.
It is called supply and demand. When people stop paying he will stop charging. You can always buy the $50.00 ticket like I did
