Which Prince Albums Do You Listen To Most of All

Considering there is a 'least of all thread', I figured, Why not ask this??

Mine would be

Gold Experience

Diamonds & Pearls

Graffiti Bridge

I'm not listening to much Prince lately, but I guess it'd be these ones most of the time:

Purple Rain
The Gold Experience
Parade
Sign 'O' the Times

But lately, it's been these:

ONA: Solo Piano & Voice
The Truth
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

The Gold Experience definitely...

Once I start, though, it's hard to stop... so I really try to limit the number of times I play it.
I consider Prince's music as a way of "making over my soul"... he really gets in deep with this album, which is why it's so hard to keep myself away from it once I let him in.

It's totally cool. cool

3121 would be in 2nd place, but I force myself to listen to it half the time... ugh, don't get me started.

I prefer to make my own mixes because of the fact that he releases a lot of music that is not available on regular cd releases.
Prince has so many cd singles and cyber singles and music sales from concerts only (like, supercute).

1999
Purple Rain and all 12" releases
SOTT
LoveSexy
Gold
The Undertaker laserdisc
The B-sides
One Night Alone

Lovesexy yes (at least once a week)
Prince
Come
Parade
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

It's funny how none mentioned "musicalogy", the symbol album.

There's only about 12 posts at this point. Somebody will mention Musicology and the Symbol Album. His catalog is so diverse, there is something for everybody -- often on the same album.

1999 is at the top of my list.

this is really hard but if forced to narrow it down....
1999
SOTT
Ultimate, disc 2
Chaos & Disorder
and Come, (but to a lesser extent than the above).

TGE would be there but I have yet to replace it on CD.... cry

and just over the past year....Musicology/3121 equally

absolutely. Being one of those people myself, I see why everyone kept telling me to get it.

Strange, though. It is very diverse, but all of the tracks fit together so well. They sound different, but they all carry the same vibe with them. Prince (then known as prince ) takes u thru his own spiritual journey, trying to find his way to "the dawn".
Each listen brings forth something new... so many views and interpretations...

That's why it's so popular, I think.

ATWIAD is one of my favorites, but I tried to really narrow it down. And I did mention Musicology, biggrin .

of course, now I want to add For You and Controversy to my list as well. lol
SEE, this is too hard!!! It was much easier to list the ones I don't listen to since there are only a few.

Most recently, the ones that I put on while I'm cooking are The Truth, For You, and The Vault.

I don't listen to whole albums much anymore. I like to mix it up nowadays.

Amazing how tastes differ. I virtually never listen to any of those three. Each has a couple of good/great songs (don't they all) but can't listen to the whole album.

I guess I listen to Parade the most, but all the eighties albums bar Controversy and Batman get a good airing. From the nineties it would be The Vault and The Truth, and from the noughties TRC.
