Here's my new idea for a Prince image relaunch:

Grow back the fro, ditch the make-up, dress like he did in '77/78, cast aside the religious proselytising and simply let the music do the talking. Minimal sets, a regrouping of all the best musicians he's worked with over the years and Prince jumping from instrument to instrument and simply kicking ass as never before without the gimmicks. Then just leave the stage without a word with the audience begging for more. What do you think?

Btw, watching some old Prince video clips from '79 - 81' there seems to be a pronounced Mick Jagger influence in his dancing with little hint of any James Brown - anybody else notice this?

i'd like to see prince get his classic r&b ya yas out by spinning at afterparties, or even putting mixes together to play before his shows...he can educate the fans and spend more energy playing his own music and new/improvised jams. it'll never happen, but it'd be fun.

This has been done to death, what about rethinking your own image?!

I don't really care what he does image-wise (although trolling w/ those twins, all 3 of them in shades is some desperate looking shit - think "Heffner", pathetic!!), I just want him to kick my ass w/ the music... And drop the no-singin' twins already. He ain't no damn Tina Turner
