I just saw this letter in the gallery.

Could anybody explain what it's all about? And why it was sent to the magazine?

As intellectual as PRINCE is, I can hardly believe he would choose a woman who's grammar is the level of elementary school. Please tell me this isn't Mayte's writing. Does anyone know if she graduated from highschool or went on to college? SMH That penmanship is awful.

She graduated Wiesbaden High School in Germany. Notice how the body of the letter looks like it was written by a child but the signature seems much more mature.

The letter was probably written that way to perpetuate that image he had going at the time of the mysterious rock star with the innocent princess.

I can respect that... nod but my sarcasm shouldn't stop them from checking the facts. There's a wealth of information on this site to dispell rumors.

Prince is far from intellectual, and her grammar and spelling are better than I would have expected. They are, indeed, better than that of Prince, who makes frequent grammatical mistakes in lyrics. That is without mentioning his frequently noted, and incorrect, propensity to use letters in place of full words. She could, however, have used a period after "you" in the sentence containing "3 Chains O Gold" [sic] and before "is". That notwithstanding, her grammar and spelling are apparently better than most of the posters here on "The Org".

That letter just seems silly to me. If P really meant for it to get out it's even dumber than just a plain letter. Couldn't care less one way or another. It's so sad that I even took the time to read it.
