I haven't formulated a viable opinion on this album yet,
so I'm assuming that it might be growing on me.
To quote Bob Dylan, Billy Joel & just about every other person whose's ever walked this planet, "Only time will tell".

bought it when i was 12 and had to force myself to listen to it. i only really liked eye no and alphabet st. but when i did finally get into it, it became my fave. i havent felt that way about a prince album since then. gold came close and so did TRC.

I think LoveSexy is one of those "middle" albums, like ATWIAD or Come. It's not bad but it's just a little too flawed to truly be a great one.

Lovesexy is one of Prince's best albums and one of my favorites but it wasn't like that when I got it. I got the album that summer when I was 9 and I thought it was another weird Prince album but somehow I liked it. Fast forward to when I was 20 and I was buying all of Prince's stuff on CD and when it came time to pick up and listen to Lovesexy this time, I was floored. What I didn't understand at 9, like Anna Stesia, I finally understood and I felt it in my heart. I'm not part of the "Lovesexy changed my life" crew but I totally understand how it could do it. Prince was inspired and it showed.

He just never put out an "even" album since then, to me. Just a hit here and there, but mostly just filler.....Just my opinion...
