Who remembers this one? I liked the articles and photos, they were well done. Does anyone have any issues? I have about 20.

yeah, I was a member 4 quite some time. I have several issues but not sure how many (filed away in the attic at the mo'). Those were cool times, with Controversy offering advanced booking for concerts & aftershows etc.

It was run by someone called Eileen.....I think- 1der what she's doing now

Yep I used to get it, dunno how many copies I had. Started getting it in about 1990.

I went to one of the meets in Mansfield 90 or 91.

Controversy actually changed my life !!

I had quite a few pen pals from it. Two of them Im still in touch with now after 15½ years !

One of them is a Swedish lady, (Im English from Doncaster). I met up with her in 92 to see one of the Diamonds and Pearls shows at Earls Court, London.

She came to visit me 6 years later with her best friend. I ended up getting together with her best friend, "A" and moved to Stockholm 6 months later ! Im still here in Stockholm though broke up with "A" a year ago. But still good friends with the pen pal.

I love the country (and speak the lingo fluently) and have no intention on moving back.

Eileen was very cool!

I have most, including the earliest issues, save about four. I bought them in two or three auctions on Ebay in the early 00s when Prince's popularity was very much in the wane. Some I have in duplicate. I'm sure they are more valuable now as a collection, especially if I obtained the remaining issues I'm missing. I have never really been a fan of his music, except a few songs, and just got it for the pictures and articles about him which were not as readily available as they are now on the "internets".
