i LOVE his eyes. its the first thing i look at when i see a picture of him. and in the past few years, he's been so happy so i love to see pictures of him smiling. Definitely one of his best features (yeah, as if he has any bad ones...) His eyes are amazing for so many reasons... too many to name them all. Me personally, I seem to fall for guys with blue or green eyes of various shades. He has the most beautiful ebony eyes I've ever seen. Whenever I watch his performances, if at all possible, I try to watch his eyes. They say that eyes are a window to the soul... in Prince's case, that's very true. Beautiful eyes= beautiful soul There's one more thing I gotta say b4 finishing up. There's something about his eyes that lights up when he performs and that's what I look for to establish a connection with him when I hear him sing. i've heard that saying before- and it really does hold true. especially with Prince. and i remember on one interview when he was describing music- his eyes and face just lit up and i was like "Woah!" There was a total difference. I never understood the saying "their eyes light up" until I saw that interview. "So shall it be written, so shall it be sung..."  | |

I agree with the OP, after seeing Prince for the first time and going on this 25-year journey, I understand how men feel about women. That's the thing about him, he flipped the script and made us lust after him the way men lust after women. I've never been like that with any other man in my life. But I see Prince and...  When/Where did you meet him?.....damn you is lucky   My sister and I met him in Vegas after an aftershow. It was so surreal and he even remembered us the next night at another aftershow. That was back in December and I still don't think I've recovered. Sometimes I'm driving in my car or walking or just doing anything and I stop and think about it and it was just unbelievable!! When we got home we told our friends/family that we could die happy now! Seriously, it was an unforgettable weekend. Seriously, it was an unforgettable weekend. We posted a long account of it back in December.In any case, I envy anyone who's gotten the chance to meet him. While it's something I can't help but hope for, I wouldn't go as far to say "my life isn't complete cuz I never met Prince". Since becoming the fan I am now, I've started to believe more and more in fate. Everything about my journey as a fan has been accidential b4 taking on this particular part of the journey (the past, nearly, 2 months). We came upon "Purple Rain" on VH1 and again and again, he'd make televised appearances that I happen to hear about & catch. Perhaps it was fated for me to become the fan I am, someone who isn't driven out their mind becuz "so-so is totally hot". Unlike the other artists that have come and gone in my life, I respect/admire Prince for everything he is. I'd feel blessed & priviledged if given the chance to meet him and discuss his music & such, but life's too short to give it too much thought. If it's meant to happen, it will. What's great about Prince is that his inner beauty shines thru his work and his music is so unique that it really helps you get to know him from afar and bond with him thru the lessons he teaches thru his music and/or lyrics. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. We're in our early thirties, we still have tons we want to do. Folks just know that we've been fans for basically all our lives. I believe in fate too. Meeting him was totally fate. We were in the restaurant after it closed, because the waiter made a mistake with our bill and it was taking a long time for him to straighten it out (which we didn't mind). So as it cleared out, we were waiting around and Prince was there having dinner, it all flowed from there. We could not have planned it. When I went to Vegas, I NEVER expected to meet him, that he'd remember us, and interact with us. I couldn't have planned to have Prince give me and my sister Watchtowers or to play my sister's tambourine. I've been a fan for 25 years and have been to many concerts and I am always just satisfied with the opportunity to experience his music and essence live. I've never even tried to meet him. That night fate allowed me to meet and talk with him. I would have been happy with that, then the following night, fate stepped in again. So you never know you might be next...

Regardless, I am so happy that you have become a fan. I love it when new people discover Prince. You are right, he is an open book. It's all in his lyrics. :laughs: No, I didn't even think about that comment when I wrote my post. The fact ur experience with him happened just amazes me. Like how can anyone be that lucky? Then again, I wouldn't call it luck, but I have gotten the chance to meet a few celebs... although you can't really call 4/5 celebs anymore cuz they've basically dropped off the planet of famedom. I've mentioned Jesse McCartney in my posts... I've gotten to meet him twice... but I only really count the 2nd time becuz it was a bit more meaningful. a) I wasn't tripping over myself like a complete idiot, and b) I gave him something (a little poem I wrote 4 him). Sure, it's not the same, but still an experience I'll always remember. One thing I've often thought about is what would I do if I got the chance. Hopefully we'd have 5-10 minutes together... I'd like nothing more than just to ask about how he writes his music so beautifully... but mostly focus on discussing "Gold", a song that's done more for me than any of his others. Just to learn how he put it together, why he wrote it and his translation of it. I have quite a few interpretations myself and I'd like to run theories by him to see what he thinks... Prince's most exceptional songs are the ones were his heart & soul are visible and make some attempt to connect to mine. Only a truly special beautiful soul is capable of something like that... besides his aura, that's what sets Prince apart for me, and I list them among the 'intangible' qualities I see in him. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. The man was just EXCITING.If you say so... I've gotten very used to his "sexiness"... the only problem is that I feel like I hit a wall when I dive into songs like "Darling Nikki" and "319"... basically meaning that he's so addicting when he's in that state of mind that I find it hard to get away from... With all due respect, I'd prefer to respect/admire him rather than "fall in love" with him. It keeps me grounded... and it's a more fulfilling listening experience when I listen to his more current music that teaches me something valuable that I could apply to other aspects of life. That's what Musicology is beginning to do for me. Oh don't get me wrong I love Prince and have alot of respect and admiration for his music I admire his dedication to his work and art...I also just find him hot and sexy too.  | |

How about adding this to what's already been said?
The guy is beautiful in and out (the first and so far only man I could call truly beautiful). But he also is beautiful in the fact that he tries to bring out the best in you thru his music. Like I was listening to the end of TMBGITW onto "Dolphin" while listening thru TGE and I instantly figured out what he was trying to tell me for the past couple of songs. He actually connected with my heart and in the song "Dolphin", it was like he was saying to me that "we're in the same place." His music connects with you unlike anyone else... and having a visual really helps because of his mesmerizing, dreamy gaze.
