I doubt there's anyone alive who can sing, dance, produce, write music, play 20+ instruments and put on a spectacular stage show.

More talented in general? Not in my books. I like a lot of different music artists but they are usually better in a specific way. Some are better guitar players, some better vocalists, some write songs in a more mature manner, etc...But when it comes to general talent as a whole Prince is definitely the one. In fact I've gone to a lot of concerts of other artists where I feel so bored I just want to go home and listen to their cds and could care less whether I see them in person. But when the light go out at the beginning of a Prince concert there's on other place I want to be. So my answer has got to be NO.

Joni Mitchell is a better lyricist and composer, overall, imo. Though, Prince is the better stage act.

I think R Kelly is AS talented, but maybe not MORE talented than Prince..I mean that guy has a lotta good music in his head...and a very talented musician as well..

And actually I was a bit worried that he'd be the kind of person who'd "die for his art"... that was when I first became a fan. Now, I know better thanx to discovering that Mayte put him thru "recording rehab".
