3121 - A great album, but what a lame a** song Get on the Boat is! Really?? After all the great end of album songs Prince made throughout his career, GOTB has got to be the lamest and weakest. Just no life or spark to it at all. Real disappointment.

I like get on the boat personally. But even if I didn't, I can't imagine any worse ending to an album than Orgasm. Complete waste of space in my opinion.

yeah that was my first thought when i listened to the album
"not a very good song to end an album with".

even if he'd just switched it with "the dance" it would've
been a better sequence to the album.

although, i totally dislike that version of "the dance" too

"Live 4 Love" ain't no picknick either...

i think 'get on the boat' sounds like background music for a really annoying motivational video they'd make you watch at work. then we'd all be expected to walk around wearing stupid looking "I GOT ON THE BOAT!" pins.

on an album as the closing effort.

as a mid-album song it would be nice, like say, to open up side 2 with.

but as an album closer it just seems hopelessly out of place
