'Prince measured up for Extras role'

Extras star Stephen Merchant thinks having pint-sized singer Prince appear in the final episode of the BBC2 show is no tall order.

Merchant and comedy partner Ricky Gervais plan a Christmas special to end the series and each episode features a celebrity cameo.

Merchant said: "I'd love to get Prince as I'm such a fan of his..me being 6ft 7in and Prince being, whatever, 4ft 1in, would be comic enough."

I really really hope P doesn't do this I really don't think it would be a good move for him have been thinking about it all night. Its not the sort of show where he could do a song, and all they really want to do it make him look silly and I can't see how that would make him look good. I just don't find this programe funny in the least and they made Bowie just look old and silly - P doesn't need to do this - so please please don't do this P this is not the show for you.

I would have to agree with you. Judging by it, if they suggest making fun of his height there's no way he'll appear!

It is a very satirical show, I just hope P is aware of that fact if he ever does sign up..
