Me, I did it for 2 reasons. a) It's the latest from Prince b) I'm already familiar with half of the tracks Every track on it is worth a good listen. Well I'm telling you they didn't buy it after hearing the rest of the CD. I know. Actually, that's a reason I used to buy a lot of CD's, just becuase I liked one song I heard off the radio. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Why would you want him to do that?
Do you actually want to hear anything like that? His ability to be a chamelon, refusal to conform and reinventing himself has given us great music.

A lot of his music on 3121 was a bit modernized... so I have accused him of selling out a couple of times. I guess you could say, yeah, I do think that. Other tracks are more worthy of being singles and competing on the charts. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Thru my own personal experience,
I can say that, there is at least one advantage to always "being the dumbest guy in the room." And I'd know what that advantage was if only my brain worked gooder.

He did with Black Sweat... still didn't make it like I'd like for him too.
Never going to happen I'm afraid

These days, hits on the radio are bought. When you think about it, "Black Sweat" was a genuine hit: added to playlists based on popularity, not payola.

Yeah, cause Prince obviously doesn't make chart or radio friendly music. Noooo. Never. I didn't mean he hasn't made radio friendly music. What I meant was that he shouldn't be concerned about radio airplay when he is creating music. He should make the kind of music he wants to make, and not strive to make mainstream pop just so that he's stuff will be played on the radio. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

You're full of shit... When Doves Cry was also paid for by WBs back in the day. Prince's hits were bought as well kiddo... except back in the day, his singles were catchy - black sweat was a big ol pile of doo doo. j
