Under the Cherry Moon So I just finished watching Under the Cherry Moon. For those who havent seen it, dont read this thread, I'll ruin the end for you. I haven't watched the whole thing in about 2 years. I got the chance to watch all of it tonight. My mom watched abut 30 minutes of it and she couldnt believe that Prince was that short. She said she has never really seen him walk, only perform. I didnt quite like the movie but I was laughing alot through it. I thought Prince being shot and killed was quite hilarious. I would of never seen that coming. I know..I shouldnt be laughing but come on. Prince dressed so beautiful and then he gets shot at the end? Aside from that, he looked damn fine in the movie and he seems not to have aged. He gained a little weight now that hes older, but he still looks fine  Soul mate-One of two persons compatible with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity.

it's a lovely movie, very cute and easily the best of the three movies he made. might have done with an editor, but the whole thing is just pure prince. lots of great dialogue. | |

moderatorIt's far from perfect but it's actually aged better than Purple Rain (except PR's music scenes, which hold up)
It got a really bad rap when it came out. I think GB helped erase that. My Legacy

I love this movie to death!
Prince in the white lace gets me everytime. And he was so funny. He never struck me as the funny type--I thought that's what he had Morris (in other films) around for--but it's a gut bustingly hilarious film I love a Man who:

I absolutely love his film...
especialy the poem he wrote her at the end... I want to be an honest man I'll be your slave just understand etc etc...
I admit - I always always cry when I watch that bit....

Man I could watch that over and over.....  Love that scene... even though he grabs her neck & mauls her forehead like he's gonna rip her head off into the backseat while he semi-straddles her in the front with a bum looking on.  Still love that scene. [Edited 3/25/07 20:00pm] | |

I love the movie but his death scene at the end is kind of corny and funny, I used to hate the scene when he's in the room with Tricky and his boots match his silk pajamas come on now Prince! | |

I love this hilarious review of it I read...where they call Christopher Tracy's death "The Assassination of Joe Cocker" and all kinds of stuff. I don't remember where it was, but it's a ton of pages if you print it out - however, I did so because I so thoroughly enjoyed laughing at the review of it. Sometime you should watch the movie along with the review. But don't eat or drink anything. HE'S COMING AGAIN | |
