Like others before... London Gatwick to Vegas Thursday to Sunday ...Friday took things easy..... on Saturday up 6am ...helicopter over Grand Canyon and champagne breakfast...flew around the Rio...the symbol was almost finished...lunch at Olives with that actress from American Beauty (?something? Ricci) on next table (snooty cow!!)...dinner in the Jazz Room with the band....free sushi for waiting for a table...front stage for whole show....Prince saw me cry...aftershow...champagne...Prince came to shake my hand and then my boyfriend's...He dug his diamontee tie...watched the man pick up a guitar and play quiet jazz guitar just a few feet away...nobody noticed he was playing until he funked the whole thing up and partied 'til dawn...went to the bar to recover from shock with 2 sexy new friends....drank a martini and an old fashioned...went to breakfast at an out of town diner...the LV marathon was on and we couldn't get to the strip.....went back to hotel...packed our clothes...went for beers at Paris...went for lunch...bought some shades....airport...another martini...10h flight to London...sleep...work Christmas dinner....The Roots at Shepherds Bush...played something by Prince ??...is this not worth £450.00 all inclusive flight and 3 nights at the Rio?? I am now on a Debt Management Plan but it was all fucking worth it...enjoy life.... there are no second chances...i made God damn sure i saw James Brown when he last came to London...if only I'd seen Nina Simone  ...get on the boat people!! Have fun...it all runs out in the end.'til you're burnin' up | |

Glasgow to Birmingham for the first date of the European tour back in '94 (I think - Symbol album tour), I went on a coach and no-one sang songs!
On the way back I overheard a few folk and realised there were just casual fans amongst hardcore people like me! Mind you, I was gutted I only got to the first night and not the second he played there. It's all a bit lame compared to all these trips to Vegas I suppose! "I'm much too hot to be cool" | |

went to Paris from London back in the day (1990 - 1992 cant remember the date), I went by train and Ferry and my friends went by coach was ill on the last nite and gave a good friend my tickets. | |

only 1 hundred miles, but it was with my soon to be ex wife...so it seemed longer. It was to see the Lovesexy tour, in Greensboro, NC. Best damn show I have ever seen, ever. It was like a religious experience. | |
