vodoo child and prince has anyone ever heard prince cover voodoo child by hendrix, I am curious to hear what he could do with it and see if he sounds better than Steve Ray Vaughn.

He played a bit of Who Knows and Voodoo Child (Slight Return) at the beginning of the Vega aftershow on the 2002 ONA tour.
He has also done Red House (renamed Purple House) on that tribute album to Hendrix, also a bit on the Rave dvd. The npgmc year 1 release 'Habibi' is supposed to be a take on 'Maching Gun'. Tick, Tick, Bang also samples Hendrix's Little Miss Lover's drumbeat. | |
