why waste your time? prince doesn't read letters written to him. some flunky on his payroll is just opening them and enjoying the used panties and nude polaroid shots. i wouldn't be surprised if they're all disposed of unopened.

I didn't write a letter,but I sent him a birthday card b4! I enclosed a short note telling him just how much he means 2 me.A few weeks later,I received an autograped postcard! Very cool!

I hate ppl on here who are pessimistic on here about fans wanting to write to Prince! I have always wanted to write him too. You have to have hope in life, otherwise it's not worth living. For ppl who think they're just "keepin' it real" by saying letters are a waste of time and that fans are stupid to even want to try, Y'ALL ARE HATERS! Keep hope alive!

oh man, I shudder at that thought... all of the paper I'll want to use.

Anyway, if I could get my thoughts together and compressed, I know the reality of it that he won't answer back no matter how well I write it or how well I understand him (at least I think I do).

However, someday, he will get to it.

And with what I write, I'm certain to brighten his day and give him a sense of accomplishment that he could reach a fan the way he's reached me. So what if I don't get an answer back (impossible nonetheless)? I'm a person who usually gives more than they take.

Prince and I have or will have a very balanced relationship with that phrase in his speech. He gives me wonderful, beautiful music, and I take it in. I give back to him by buying his music and praising it and he takes that, feeling very proud of himself for it (and for good reason).

I feel like I definitely give more than take... and Prince is no exception. Although he most likely won't read them, I've given him so much praise on this forum. I just feel like I really get him and what he stands for, but he just makes that so easy.

I'd like nothing more than to one day write him a letter, saying how much I admire/respect him just to bring a smile to his face.
