I'm thinking that you mean...Imagine a world where Prince never existed. If this is the case, I can honestly say I truly believe my life would have been a lot different. The majority of music that has been the soundtrack to my life would not have existed. The good times would not have felt as good and the bad times would have felt a whole lot worse, had there not been Prince's music playing in the background.

My world just wouldn't b the same without him.

I get the question. As Prince is the most influential artist of any generation, the MUSIC world would be completely different. Lots of the funky stuff coming out of the 80´s and 90´s and even in recent years wouldnt exist. Justin Timberlake wouldnt have a career, there would have been no Minneapolis scene, so Janet Jackson (Anything produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis) wouldnt be popular. The charts would be completely different, music would be less funky and there would still be racial barriers and sexual and religious taboos in music. No one would scream in a funk song and there wouldnt be any long sexy guitar solos in soul music. Chilli Peppers wouldnt have lasted as long as they did, James Brown, George Clinton, Maceo Parker wouldnt be considered as "great" as they are now, simply because their music influenced prince who influenced everyone else. Theres a lot more to it, but in terms of MUSIC he is the ultimate influence, without him, the music landscape would be completely different.

The world would have missed something special....

I would have more free time and spend more time with my family cuz I would'nt spend so much time on this org.

Most of us have never lived in a world without Prince, so why would we even WANT to do that?

I knew I'd get some animosity from some of you. But the truth is I can't imagine a world without Prince. But I will say that I probably wouldn't be as enthusiastic about music if he wasn't around. Since he's the very reason why I love music, then to live in a world without him would mean to live in a world without music. And that would just be downright scary.

If I knew of Prince as I do know and he suddenly disappered... omg, I can't even fathom what that would be like. The world itself wouldn't be different, but music sure would be.

I can barely even grasp the concept of a world w/o Prince now that he's becoming such a huge part of me. It's even more insane than my "infatuation" with his music. I wouldn't know what true music would sound like. I wouldn't know that music could be an art form or that lyrics could be poetry or that cryptic lyrics can make a good song.

The hugest thing would be is that I wouldn't know what it's like to be so passionate about something, keep that passion alive for years and reflect it through the aspect of the performance. Music wouldn't mesmerize me the way it does when Prince plays it.

Because of the way music is today, there'd be an emptiness in me that would make it very difficult to get by in life, because life ain't easy.

As insane as Prince's music makes me, I think I'd be even worse off without it because you can't find that beauty anywhere else.
