Prince used to smoke a lot of Methamphetamine while he worked as an over-the-road trucker. Little known fact.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

then you're like me in hoping that prince follows through with his promise to re-record all of his wb tracks... but we know that will never happen. and he'd probably bring tony m in on his day off from kfc to record new vox.

Actually he doesn't have to re-record anything, just editing that idiot Tonyf'nM. out would work for me. lol

and if you need more proof, why would he allow tony m. to rap on 2 of his albums, then invite him to come back AGAIN to rap on "1999: the new master."

One of those topics that not only will never die, but will never reach a conclusion. Those that know, know, and those that dont know, dont want to know.

More accurately, there are those that know, those that don't know but think they do, and those that know they don't know but don't want to know, as well as those that know they don't know but would like to know.

He did re-record all his wb tracks - some of his band members have indicated this did actually happen - he just didn't release them in the end.

I remember reading it over on a thread at Housequake. Ask Boris he knows the details. The muppets version of Starfish & Coffee is believed to have come from these sessions.

look at him during 1994 and tell me he wasn't on drugs.

c'mon.

If that's the case, then somebody give him more of whatever he was taking at the time. wink

Well, there is the infamous story of the Ecstasy trip in the Black Album/LoveSexy period, but I still don't know if I buy that story. I don't see how someone who normally doesn't use drugs would suddenly decide to do something like x.

I spent several years in the rave scene, so I've seen a lot of people on MDMA (Ecstasy). Every detail I've read about Prince's alleged behavior and appearance that night is consistent with someone "rolling" on MDMA. The one slightly surprising thing is that it was supposedly a "bad trip" -- that's uncommon with MDMA, although certainly not unheard of.
