These songs are two of my all time favorite tracks. It has been years since I have heard the 12" version of Girl.The vocal track is wonderful I have loved the track since the first time I heard it. It strikes me as vocally odd.

When the lights Go Down is another favorite track.The piano and guitar are wonderful. Once again, vocally Prince is at his best.

Oddly enough, the other day, I happened to listen to each of these tracks back to back -- and something occured to me -- for me it sounds like these tracks were recorded during the same session or recorded around the same time period.

love when the lights go down, love his voice intro, i think this one gets overlooked a lot b/c the album isn't that good. girl is also a fav!
