Plus theres bound 2 b alotta hairspray at a Prince concert...not a good combination. I've seen a ladies locks burnt 2 a cinder at midnight mass 1ce, u know candlelit vigil thingy...not pleasant

Cell phones are replacing lighters to some degree at concerts, but I think there will always be folks who flick the bic.

Prince is doing a balancing act as far as the pictures go. He's okay w/ his photographer shooting his show, he has called out in concert to get your cell phone out, call folks and tell them what they're missing, and after the 3121 shows I've been to, you can tell he knows people are snapping his picture then.

But if you have video capability or an actual camera, security is still looking for that and will have you erase stuff.

I actualyl don't know how to light a lighter! LOL! Each time I do, I singe my fingers. (My mom used to smoke and I tore my fingers up when I'd try to light her lighter!)

And lighters mortify me at concerts. The last thing I need is to be set on fire.
