Diamonds & Pearls (the DVD)

What do you think about the Diamonds & Pearls dvd? Was it a good choice? Was it a good mixture of live songs and videos? What was your favorite parts of it? Favorite songs off it? Did you like what the did with the NPG member Interviews? Personally I liked it and i watch it alot. Just wanted to know what the rest of you on the org think! biggrin

Leave comments on what you think, and also post any Diamonds and Pearls related prince pictures you have! biggrin

I was a bit disappointed because I had gotten myself all excited for the "Live concert footage" especially of Thunder drool one of my favorite songs

but alas, the concert footage was only a tease, and most of the videos I already had on my computer, but I enjoyed it nonetheless smile

I'm actually watching it right now as I type

I enjoyed the little skits in between. I know some folks hate that but I liked the way they flowed from skit to video/performance.

I agree. One thing I love about Prince's music...you can listen/watch years from now, and it doesn't seem out of style. But Call the Law is really dated. I really loved Live 4 Love. And I could watch Gett Off a million times and still not see everything. I keep pausing it to see if I missed something. razz

It's a pity that it was just a straight release of the original Video release without
any extras. But that's not WBs fault, it was that or not release it on DVD at all as
Prince wouldn't allow any changes to it.

In an ideal world, it would've been good to get an expanded release including
the Gett Off video EP material as well, and maybe the whole live Earls Court
show that was filmed but never released.
