Has anyone ever smelled Play in the Sunshine Incense? I wonder what the scent is so when mine are gone I can find something like it has anyone ever found anything close to it?

When I first opened my Prince in Hawaii box, that smell hit me like a slap in the face! (In a good way ) What caught me off guard is that it smelled both masculine and feminine. How appropriate for a scent from Prince! Even my boyfriend liked it, so that's a plus! It smells like a fragrance intended to wear on your body.

I've smelled many kinds of herbs, flowers, and essential oils, so I tried my best to decipher the Play in the Sunshine scent. I smell mostly lavender, a hint of sandalwood, and musk. This is before burning it, because it smells different when it is burning. I like the "pre burn" smell better myself, so I placed the whole bunch in a glass, and let it fill my bedroom with te scent, much like a fragrance oil.

I also have some of Manuela's incense (Wellness and Harmony). They smell nothing like Play in the Sunshine, because those scents are more fruity.

I found a cool sit incense Galore they have so many kind and they describe the sent!! I hope to find it some day "play in the Sunshine"

There's nothing like Play In The Sunshine incense.That stuff smells heavenly!

Where does the label say the incense was made? Maybe you could start there and try to find some in that same area.

Oh God, I love it too! That's the purple wrapped one right? After being very near Prince at the aftershow, I am convinced this is what he smells like. I know from burning it now at home that it will seep into fabric after awhile, and since they burn incense non-stop at the club I think it's safe to assume he has it burning other places he is as well- backstage, dressing rooms, wherever. Of course, he may also wear cologne of a similar formula.

Since Vegas, I'm so addicted to this stuff that I already have an order out with a friend for more when they go this month. Also, as luck would have it, my co-worker is going to Vegas this weekend- not for Prince- but has agreed to make an effort to get over the Rio tonight or tomorrow and buy me some more as well!!

You know, I don't think there is a location on the label. It only has a tiny piece of paper that says NPG Home on it, and the music club website address. It's too bad they didn't put any description, or ingredients list on it. I can only guess what I think it smells like, but I could be wrong.

Supplies were pretty limited on most items in the store even in January. I think there was a post in the Concerts forum recently saying it's still been pretty empty. I'd be surprised if they would take phone orders, but you could try calling the Rio desk- you never know. The incense was one of the few things in full stock.

I most certainly will. And I also would like anyone to share the love if they have any that they can bear to part with. I would be willing to pay for them. Hit me with an org note if you do. Damango is going to send me a few sticks of the stash that she has so that I can smell it since I have never smelled them. If anyone has a full supply that they can part with let me know. I also did not get any before the club closed.

I remember starting a thread at the NPG club site praising the incense. I received a reply from one of the mods who said it was specially made in either Virginia or North Carolina, I can't remember where. Damn, I wish I could get back to that post because I believe they provided an address. I bought all the fragrances he had and went through all of it within 2 months. But I remember that Play in the Sunshine was one of my favorites as well as It's Going to be a Beautiful Night.

Hey ya'll. I called back around 9:00 pm my time and spoke with a very nice guy named Jason. He said that he was positive that you could call the 3121 Boutique and place an order over the phone. I did not call back because I would have had to call at 1:00 am my time to catch the store open...it is only open when the club is open. I have a 3 hour difference. I get up early on Saturdays for my daughters hula dance class and mine also...so we are in bed early. I hope that this helps for those of you that live closer or can stay up that late to catch the store open.

and I believe there were about 4 scents altogether, but I, myself, only liked the purple and blue- Play in the Sunshine and Life Can Be So Nice.
