Funny U picking these 2 as I always think of

WDC when I listen 2 Strange Relationship. They are 2 songs I always link in my

mind. For me, WDC is the song that Strange Relationship tried to be, but just

came up slightly short. That said it wud be in my top 40 Prince trax and is a

song I love. I just prefer it's big brother.

Two great songs, no doubt. Absolutely love them, favorites of mine.
But, When Doves Cry is the easy winner because it was just killer when it broke out, demanding your attention with the opening, emotional/angry? guitar line and breaking ground for a pop single that had NO BASS (Not the conventional kind, anyway).

It's one the few Prince songs where he admits to being in a position of power and taking full advantage. I think it's his most confessional song ever.

Doves is one of the greatest songs of all time. It's perfect imo.

But I must say that I prefer Strange Relationship performed Live.

Doves is just "pure class"

Relationship is a good album track would never have stood up like Doves as a single.

So there4 Doves gets my vote
