From what I have read Susanah is the hidden key to the fallout of Prince , Wendy and Lisa. Susanah was the love of his life back in the 80's and when that fell apart Wendy and Lisa took their sisters side and the Revolution was no more. With the Brit Award performance and the reunion of The Family I hope that something special is in the works. How about a Paisley Park 20th Anniversary Concert !?! No matter what Prince knows that the "fans" are waiting for this to happen and has been hinting at this reunion for the past few years. Wendy , Lisa and Susanah were Prince's most creative inspiration and some of the best songs were recorded with this trio. It's time for little girls Wendy's Parade !!!
I think that would be great. The Paisley Park 20th anniversary concert idea sounds great as well. That would be a great by it being 2007 but, alot happened during 1987 and right before that year that I'm not sure if Prince would want to re-live that part again. It was great moment because the music and the movement of "Sign O' The Times" but on his personal life it may be different. I hope the reunion happens.

As much as that would be a dream come true for me (as well as a full blown Revolution reunion), it seems unlikely and unrealistic at this point.

Prince performed with Wendy & Lisa in 2006 at the Brit Awards. They performed two songs from 3121 and a couple from Purple Rain. Sheila E. Was also there. It was great to see them all together, but I think Prince has musically outgrown Wendy and Lisa in many ways.I could be wrong, but I never heard a great jazz solo from either one.

Who said Susannah was the love of Prince's life in the 80s? That said, I always thought it weird he married Mayte, but that's for another time. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

How long were they engaged for? And when did he fit Susannah in between Brenda, Vanity, Madonna, etc. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I don't think he was ever with Brenda and I doubt that thing with Madonna was really anything serious but he was with Susannah from about 1983-1986.

They dated between 83-86. They may have been engaged for about a year and a 1/2 of that time. But he also dated, Susan Moonsie, Sheila E., Vanity, Jill Jones and probably others during that time too. He never dated Brenda Bennett, she was married to his lighting engineer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Interesting. Their chops are pretty thick. And, I've heard some astonishing jazz runs from both Wendy and Lisa. Most of Lisa's phrasing and complex chord construction has its roots in jazz, and Wendy no slouch either.
