Is this really true? I saw this on wikipedia so I was wondering if it's actually true or not :
By 1990, his real name began to get publicly leaked. He wanted everyone to believe that his real name was Prince Rogers Nelson after the Prince Rogers Trio, his parent's jazz band. The truth is that his real name is simply Roger Nelson.
Is that true? [Edited 3/11/07 1:19am]

No. Don't believe everything you read in Wikipedia. It's sometimes written by dumb people who think they know everything and have the right to make whatever they believe, a fact. [Edited 3/11/07 1:35am]

Not true.
(And for those that think no one names their kid Prince, I had an uncle born in the 20's and his son born in the 40's that were both named Prince) " a newborn child knows nothing of destruction, nothing of love & hate"

Black folks are notorious for comin' up with some names for their kids, now. Names you can't even pronounce or spell.
All these Shaniquas, Laqueetas,Sherikas, Nicoyas, Claytonias, Kwantez's, and whatever else they can come up with that a lot of times end in "uh-uh-uh-uh's". I remember when folks was namin' their kids after cars...Mercedes, Alexus, etc. I just know that I wouldn't have wanted to go through school named Prince. Kids were/are cruel and I'm sure teasing and bullying about names still goes on as it did when I was growing up. Prince is a great name for a famous, musical artist though. Very distinct.

You must be new, there are photo copies of Prince's birth certificate on Pfams and trust me, his first name is "Prince".
