The song belongs to Musiq Soulchild.

The performance is a medley of 'Just Friends (Sunny)' and 'If You Want Me To Stay'

'Just Friends (Sunny)' was recorded and released in 2000 as the first single by Musiq Soulchild - now Musiq (original name Talib Johnson).

The song 'Just Friends'was co-written by Musiq and Carvin Haggins. The song's recording includes elements from 'Sunny' - which was a major hit for Bobby Hebb in 1966. It seems that the element incorporated is possibly a sample from Pat Martino's 1972 live version of the song, as opposed to Bobby Hebb's original, but Hebb receives a songwriting credit.

'If You Want Me To Stay' was a 1973 hit for Sly and the Family Stone, with the song writing credit attributed to Sly Stone (Sylvester Stewart).

That is the one song on that disc that I routinely skip.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

There may not be overdubs but some of the live recording from The World aftershow featured on the 3rd disc (ONA ... Live! It Ain't Over') is edited.

Yeah me too. I'm not big on Musiq singing live.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.
