I actually like this song.Yes,it's syrupy and schmaltzy but it's a beatifully arranged song with great lyrics.It definitely sounds like a "movie" song...a love theme for a dramatic love story or something.

I've never gotten the hate for Arms of Orion. It's a lovely ballad. Cheesy? Sure, but Prince is frequently cheesy. Slow Love, anyone? Adore? International Lover? All revered songs, and all cheesy in their way.
