Will Prince ever record with Wendy , Lisa and Susanah again ? Since 2004 it has seemed as if Prince has reconnected with Wendy and Lisa , but has not taken the renewed relationship to the next level which would be to sit down and write and record some new material with the "trio". From what I have read Susanah is the hidden key to the fallout of Prince , Wendy and Lisa. Susanah was the love of his life back in the 80's and when that fell apart Wendy and Lisa took their sisters side and the Revolution was no more. With the Brit Award performance and the reunion of The Family I hope that something special is in the works. How about a Paisley Park 20th Anniversary Concert !?! No matter what Prince knows that the "fans" are waiting for this to happen and has been hinting at this reunion for the past few years. Wendy , Lisa and Susanah were Prince's most creative inspiration and some of the best songs were recorded with this trio. It's time for little girls Wendy's Parade !!!

IMO He really needs to. That was when he produced the best music. They must have been muses of some sort to him

If he ever wants to capture the record buying public's imagination again, he will. Wowing people at a Super Bowl half-time show does not equal selling your latest album. To do that he needs to get back with Wendy and Lisa. But considering Prince's religious beliefs I don't know why they would agree to join forces again. the music knows what your motives are when you are making it
listen to The Replacements - its good for the soul

I'm not addressing this towards anybody in particular, but some people act like Prince was some idiot savant until Wendy and Lisa taught him how to make good music.Besides racially segregated radio stations, alot of Prince's music before the Revolution wasn't entirely radio friendly. These things contributed to his not being as commercially successful as he could have been. Lastly,I'd rather Prince's music sell well due to a great set of songs rather than the hype of reuniting with a former band. [Edited 3/11/07 17:35pm]

I have to say this, but Prince without Wendy and Lisa is like Lennon without McCartney. Prince has probably recorded umpteen times with Wendy and Lisa since the split , we just don't know it .....yet.

I think what they had at that time was very special. But I think that they and we moved on a long time ago.

As much as I like Wendy and Lisa, some people do give them a little too much credit. Maybe they had introduced Prince to some music that he never exposed before but Prince was creative before and even the first few years after they was sack. What about Sheila E, the Time and Vanity 6 earlier records, Prince did most of the work and without Wendy and Lisa's involvement. Also some folks acted like Prince haven't love again since Susannah walked out of his life or the only love songs he wrote was about her? He also wrote love songs for the other women that was involved in his life. Susannah is a good songwriter and singer but other than that...? I think that Prince has moved on way beyond her and she has too with Doyle.

No...it's that anytime someone suggests that the music they all made TOGETHER was better than music they make separately, people get all defensive and think that if you give ANY credit to W&L you are automatically taking away from Prince which is not the case at all. It's pretty obvious that the "golden era" of 1999 through SOTT was both the most commercially successful and critically successful of Prince's output, and that period covers the time all 4 of them collaborated.

Some people on here seem to think that Wendy and Lisa inspired Prince to write the best music of his career, a thought that I could never quite comprehend. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Wow.....I could NOT disagree more. Feels very weird to say this, but...I have to (very) strongly agree with Gray here!! Sure, Wendy & Lisa had a positive influence on Prince's art. But...c'mon...it wasn't THAT big of an influence IMO. Last I checked...Prince was a legend in his own right. Not too sure many of the "record buying public" would say it was because of Wendy & Lisa's influence, would they? I'm pretty sure I know the answer to that question... I don't mean to diminish their contribution in any way. But, to say P needs them to "sell his latest album" is kind of naive, don't you think? Just my 2 cents,
