It works stripped down like that.  Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

okay, I posted the below in the Prince cover thread, but maybe it's better to put it back here where people saw this guy...
"No joke though, I really liked that youtube posted yesterday of some guy singing Doves, acoustic- I thought it was so good I went back to hear it again today and it has already been taken down by Universal. I don't get that!!! Aren't people allowed to play whatever they want live- is taking that live performance to youtube really that much different? Local bands (playing covers) video tape themselves all the time, this guy looked like he was in his room taping. Someone- please explain this to me like I'm a 2 year old".... Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"

I was saddened to see it go down. I had liked it so much that I played it over and over for awhile just to let it sink in. It was done beautifully and in good taste by an obvious fan. | |
