NARM, HALL OF FAME NAME TOP 200 Albums

From hitsdaily:
NARM, HALL OF FAME NAME TOP 200: To no one’s surprise The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band topped The Definitive 200 List, compiled by NARM and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame representing the greatest albums of all time and announced today. the rest of the Top 10 includes Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Led Zeppelin IV, U2’s Joshua Tree, the Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street, Carole King’s Tapestry, Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited, Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds and Nirvana’s Nevermind, a 1991 release that is the most recent album of the batch.
The list was compiled by a committee of music retailers within the organization.

Prince has three albums in the Top 200 list :

Purple Rain #16
1999 #85
Sign O the Times # 155

Wow, Purple Rain better than Abbey Road, the White Album, Rumours, Songs in the key of Life, Hotel California... I REALLY need to go back and have a listen today, as I haven't given it a spin in a few months. Aren't these lists fun tho?
I don't think Purple Rain is better than SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE any more than I think it's right Shania Twain has an album at 21 when SOTT is 155.

Great thread and interesting list.
