Definitive Prince Song What does everyone hink the definitive prince song is. I think that it is "If i was ur Girlfriend". It has many elements that make a great prince song. It is experimental, both in its recording technique as well as its subject. It has an amazing vocal, also when performed live. It is a song that no other artist would do.

What would be the defining 0(+> song? I think it has to be "Days O Wild" I'm confused? Which is it? "If I Was Your Girlfriend" or "DayO Wild"? As far as IIWYGF, TLC recorded it. Didn't they? Oh I get it, the  era. It's all the same to me.  (+>
The definative Prince song? "When Doves Cry" reason? No one before 84 has ever recorded anything like it & it has all the elements Prince is famous for. A blistering guitar solo. Drum machine mixed with real drum sounds. Keyboard riff. No bass guitar. Harmony & falsetto vocals. Did I say blistering guitar solo?
