I'm sorry but alternative to what? P isn't a monk. Just because he secluded himself in MPLS for years doens't make him special. He still lived an extravagant lifestyle. He moved to a different state and I really don't see what the big deal is. So he has parties that celebs go to, again what is the big deal? Shit... he's a celeb for crying out loud.

I'm just trying to grasp what some fans have against L.A. and Vegas, and would it be the same if he moved his base of operations to to NYC or Atlanta? Personally unless the guy moves to D.C. and becomes my next door neighbor it doesn't benefit me in any way shape or form. lol

Just because you're a celebrity doesn't mean you have to hang out at clubs or whatever.
Like I was watching parts of Dateline NBC last night and there was some story about "the Paris Hilton tapes" or some mess, and these people were going on and on about these stupid Hollywood parties and the kind of things that go on there.
I barely remember details,I was half-asleep but I do remember being turned off by it.
Not all celebrities go to these parties,so what you're saying doesn't make anysense, its seems like Prince will hang out with anybody as long as they're famous, have some standards at least.Sometimes you're judged by the company you keep, and most of these celebrities seem like all they care about is material things and partying, and yes I did think Prince was kinda deep and not some airhead like some of the people at these parties.
He doesn't have to seclude himself but he doesn't have to hang out with idiots either.

And you guys said he tore down his house in MPLS,so is he gonna tear down Paisley Park too,and why am I the only one bothered by that?
Paisley Park is more than a building, its a part of him,and getting rid of it would make me sad,and I'm not apologizing for that.

eek

WOW
you ever think these people come to see him? Geez the man has been in the business for 30 years!!! Where he is is where it's at.

way too invested, way way way too invested lol

I hope it is true. I can get to LA fairly easy - so for selfish reasons I like it.

There is energy in the many talented artists who are in and around Los Angeles / Hollywood. The weather is mild - good for a sore hip. You can eat after midnight. The cars are fancy and the females are pretty. Business thrives.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

That's wierd, Prince was doing 3121 sets BEFORE he left L.A. for Vegas at his crib.

that's what I was thinking....didn't he already do that?
but, perhaps this means he'll open a proper "club" in LA, not just 3121 house parties.
shrug
either way...it's not looking good for me at the moment. sad
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

The ONLY difference this time around is that the "public" can see the shows.

You know, I am finally getting excited about this, that means I will finally see the "3121" show. I never did go to Vegas for financial reason's. With 3 girls and a son in college, it just wasn't in the stars for me. Now I finally have a chance, L.A. is only 2 hours away from me. Could be just an over night trip! excited
