This is really a funny thread, I'm cracking up. Mine, how about carrying stuff to the Pawn shop to get Prince tickets back in college when I was broke; still had to find a way to see Prince.

In 1986 we camped outside Ticketron 3 days in advance for Parade tickets. I gave away tickets for PIL ,because I was afraid to leave the line. My mom came to the line with Fried Chicken and Cold slaw for the Fans. We played all of his tapes and music while sleeping outside. It was so much fun. We had friends who stayed a couple of hrs on line for us while some of us went home to sleep. People would ask us who we were buying tickets for and we wouldn't tell them Prince we said THE REVOLUTION. People laughed thinking we were crazy.

If we run this thread next year it will be all those who found out that the London presale tickets were sold out, so they bought a ticket for Manchester only to find that the London ones came back on sale. I think its funny, but it sums the life up of a Prince fan.

drove to MPls frm Detroit (10-11 hours) for the Rave un2 the year 2000, stood outside in that cold weather for over 6 hours, but that was one hell of a show

It was really a crazy day!

I should not admit what a "famatic" I am but here goes...

1. Slept outside in 86 for concert tix in 39 degree weather.
2. Moved to Minneapolis in 89 to go to college(yeah right!).
3. One reason I married my ex-husband is because from the side when he smiled his teeth looked like Prince's!
4. Last December I drove a straight 14 hours to Minnesota to attend a Paisley Party and slept in a rest area after the party then drove 14 hours back home in freezing rain! My handle should be 'crazE'!
5. ONA @ 2 venues..

Right now I have no plans to fly to Europe for the tour or anything...but, if I could "I'd seriously consider it!"

My cousin and I used to take Prince's calendar and look at the pictures staring at them for hours and...crying...Don't ask me why because I don't have a clue...But we were 9 so we had excuses!We also tagged our jeans with Prince's lyrics , wore purple clothes , maded up our own secret sign language so that no one else could understand what we were talking about - it was always about Prince actually! - and I even wrote stories and pathetic little novels featuring Prince , his staff my cousin and myself of course.No comment.

I HAVE TAKEN THE GREYHOUND 32HOURS 4ONE SHOW TO RIDE BACK THE NEXT DAY ... the last minute plane reservations were to much.
I STOOD OUT SIDE ALL NIGHT AT TOWER RECORDS 4THE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN SHOW.not to mention all night 4 RADIO CITY just for a wrist band thank GOD it was a good number!

Started a Prince radio station.

Flying from Antlata 2 LA was pretty extreme until earlier this year when with a weeks notice I bought 1st class tickets from Honolulu 2 LA to see both ONA shows in LA with my wife...This was her first time 2 see Prince and finally get too see what he's really about and now she's a big fan as well Paid off with front row both nights... Aloha~

Utopia 7 my friends and I also camped out overnight for the Tower Records autograph session. Boy was that crazy and fun everybody was playing Prince music on line and then when he came there at around 1 pm we were told he would only sign 1 item and only items with the symbol name. People ran out to the newstand to buy the latest issue of Vibe just so they wouldn't be shut out.

DAMN! 4real Nat??? I would have loved 2 have been there!

I sat outside the NPG store in Camden (LONDON) all night because of some rumours that Prince would be showing up to officially open the store. Turns out he did by which time I was squashed against the window and could hardly see him cut the ribbon on the balcony. Met (got autographs) of the band though. And prince probably got a great view of my face smeared against the window when he came down stairs and then went home!
