Possible New Song? 'Somewhere Here On Earth' As U probably all know, reviews of the March 10th 3121 performance have mentioned a new song.
Can anyone elaborate on the song? So far, this is the only description: My highlight of the night – hearing the new song “Somewhere Here on Earth”, a beautiful, soulful ballad with absolutely gorgeous vocals [Note: this is not the Here on Earth from ONA]. I’m not great at describing songs so I won’t even try, but suffice to say that I can’t WAIT (and I’m praying and hoping!) that this becomes available soon in whatever format. It was a love song but not a sexual one, and from the lyrics I think it was about despite everything that Prince and his lover go through, they will be together somewhere on earth (It had nothing to do with the lyrics from his NAACP speech). After he played it, he asked “Did u like it?” and blew us a kiss. It was very sweet. And of course the answer was a resounding YES! Prince, please release this yesterday!! "He's a musician's musician..."

Could be the song that Prince read out some of the lyrics for during his NAACP award acceptance speech.

More here: http://www.prince.org/msg...9610?&pg=2 Apparently not. Reviewers have said this new track features different lyrics. Giovanni, would you mind editing the title of the thread - maybe I'm just a little eager, but even though I knew about the song, your thread title got me thinking this was being released (yeah, I know, you never said that...)

Sounds very nice. I love Prince's ballads. I'm especially interested in hearing more ballads that aren't sexual (So I can play them at my wedding without offending Grandma! ) Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

No sign of Gray...
This must be true. So where is all the buzz about this? Rumor pages go on for days, but if this one is true, why is no one pestering someone(in true org fashion) to get more info on it? & where are all the usual speculations and things? O.K. I volunteer to be a beta tester for this one. But just this once. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

Really? I can see how 4-5 songs on 3121 are great, and the same can be said for Musicology . . . but you really think those put together equal The Rainbow Children/One Nite Alone CD? BUT - if I do give you that, there's no way that Guitar ranks anywhere in the top 50% of his output.
