I would love it to be BJORK. She might not be high profile ,but she's Damn cool . Bowie is another great possibility. I'm surprised he hasn't done a song with Mick Jagger yet also. That's surprising since Mick is into Prince's Groove.

Prince SHOULD work with Lindsey Buckingham!
I think Lindsey very much admires Prince. Remember Lindsey being interviewed at the MTV Purple Rain Premiere Party? he had great things to say about Prince. Now THAT would be a colaboration, serious Funky music and beautiful love songs would be born! Check out "Johnny Stew" from his Law And Order solo album, VERY Prince like, freaky funk!

Prince it's time to go back to your Dirty Mind Days and be Punk and Goth again. Prince if you do this you will I think with the whole look from way back actually resurrect yourself with the Biggest Comeback of all time. I think he should totally work with all kinds of different Punk groups. Another good suggestion Prince how about an album where different Punk groups work as your band? You could use them on different songs. If anybody is gonna kick ass it's gonna be Prince and I think Bjork and Shirley Manson from Garbage and Trent and Courtney Love and even Marilyn Manson would be really Freaky . Maybe even a duet with OZZY! Prince will show Mayte and Tommy and all his other Nahsayers that he's the Flyest BadAss of all time. Then I think the Bachannel of all time will be had. Merlot on Ice with Straws anyone? Beluga? Mr.P if you listen to me and this works well I'll just Climax so damn much it will be Awesome. My friends said "You'll Never Get Him to Be as Big as Purple Rain!" I say forget Purple Rain let's go for Dirty Mind and He'll be bigger than Life. Fans would Love to see that Prince the Punk of Dirty Mind. [This message was edited Sat Sep 28 20:08:09 PDT 2002 by Natasha]

[This message was edited Sat Sep 28 20:08:09 PDT 2002 by Natasha] Whats up with all that "Punk" stuff? I think you might have misread some newspaper-articles, its been "Funk" what Prince has always been into, not P as in "Punk". I agree that Prince had some Punk-influences in style in the early 80s, but that was due to the general influence of Punk to that era. Prince is more of a pop or Funk artist than anything else. If you listen to his live shows its very clear that he has truly found his musical self and direction, which lays in the fields of a rather black (Funk, Soul, R&B) sound. Punk is as far from that as Country... and I am sure it will stay that way. I am glad Prince's "punky" days are long over (the "Rude Boy" era). they really meant nothing. you say you are such a huuuge prince fan, but obviously you dont seem to understand the man at all. Prince and Marilyn Manson?? thats like James Brown and Anthrax!! two different types of music, ideology, religions, attitudes, taste in women, style, etc... couldnt be more non-compatible. and I am very glad about that... Yes,Soulpower and opposites attract and make for a Funky combination for sure. Imagine the music? I also like the influence of say somebody like Brian Eno, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson. Or stuff like Rhiachi Saccamoto{I know I'm Spelling it Wrong.} Also Enya, I think Prince should try a Different musical Direction look at how Garth Brooks did Rock n Roll. I Beleive Prince can do anything and if I were ever a musician my deal would be to always try something different and challenge myself. You know see what it would be like what type of Music and Sound and see if it would be a hit. Push myself to the Limit and see what would come out of it. I think since Prince isn't being played on Mainstream radio anymore well why since he is Independant you know why doesn't he Aim for the College Stations to play him . You know he could really be Underground and be the College and Indie Favorite. Also I see the Jimmy's gig as being Minneapolis, Uptown, Gangster-Funk. But see because I wasn't invited it Flopped and that's the Truth. When Prince realizes this then everybody will be happy as Pie. He needed my Spirit.

Garth Brooks doing Rock n Roll... if you wanna use that an example for what Prince should do, I hope he will never listen to you... Prince is trying different musical directions all the time, in fact he has been trying them for the past 25 years. I really appreciate that, however I am glad that he never stuck to Techno and Punk... But thats just my opinion, one among so many... and you are entitled to your's of course. What surprises me a little bit though is that you keep complaining that Prince doesnt have any chart success anymore and now you are telling me he could really be underground ... where is your true stand on that? I'm curious... ;- "Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany"

Well,I know what you are saying, but I think maybe he can if he tries this other direction to go for the Punk,New wave audience. There are alot of different radio stations you know . Does Prince wanna stay UPTOWN,JAZZ? Or does he wanna TRY DOWNTOWN PUNK with FUNK thrown IN? What did he once say It's TIME FOR A NEW DIRECTION...IT"S TIME FOR JAZZ TO DIE. Blah,Blah, Blah...? We Need a Purple HIGH! Remember that one? If anybody is gonna be able to create something Totally Wild it will be my Sexy Vampire Prince. He's gonna do it you just WAIT and SEE! I say to him release the Vault stuff and all the Videos himself yes and forget about that ever again. It's getting too OLD already. No Musician is as Talented as Prince you know he's a Musical Freakin Genius. And Soul-Power you and I can agree to disagree . It's cool you can say what you want and I can skip it if I don't agree. No 2 people have to agree all the time. That's cool and nobody has to be a Clone. It's o.k. to have these differences. I think you tend to be more Conservative in your tastes than I am. It's just not my style those Older groups. I liked U-2 when they had the first couple of albums. I can't stomach them anymore. I just found them boring. Even if the music is good they are Boring! I always loved groups that Roared. I don't know what it is,but I mean I love Madonna and all,but I dig her Material Girl and her Raw Sensuality more. She's just too Sophisticated now. The music all sounds the same always and it's Boring to keep hearing the same dance tunes. She dresses too OLD! I love her and I'm a Fan,but she was better with the Boobs out and her Black Leather and when she was Fatter and not so Masculine, Muscle-bound. I think when she dressed in Gaultier it was the absolute best. This is of course my opinion. But nothing beats her Sex-Book. Now with Motherhood and all will she do that again? And why does Madonna have to be an Actress for goodness sake? But that's her business. Next she'll be a Princess in Monaco like Grace Kelly. What in the World?

And listen what does Prince want as a fan base? Does he want older fans who don't spend or does he want young people who just wanna get wild and have fun? Does he want to just stay with old Stuff and old thinking or is he ready to get Wild again and grab some new fans through new kinds of music and a new style? If he's not gonna go the Rap group then I say the Punk route is the way to go. Because the Sales are gonna go down if he limits the music to the NPGMC members. I think he should try also to go with some sort of label. Some wild people on the Downtown scene-groove.

you are labeling a lot here and you talk more about outside-matters than inner motives. I just expect from Prince to keep on playing honest and soulful music. He got skills, and for a musician with skills punk is not the way to go. Its too simple, too one-phrased, too non-intellectual. and dont forget: Prince is black, and he finally is truly proud of that. so let him play the sound that is just that, let him play the funk. he has always done that, and he has always impressed most people when he played what he can do best. the punky-stuf... well, only few people cared for it, musicians never took it seriously. Punk is no music for a 44 years old mature man. you are 24 and still wanting to party, go creazy, go freaky... and thats totally cool. prince is over that. he is a talented musician, he doesnt need to hide behind masks and legwarmers, he should get on a stage and play. and thats what he does these days. his music is as serious as it was never before, and he's still in the progress of developent. as a fan, you should be glad of that. or do your want "your" prince to take a step backwords?? I dont think so. "Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany"

I know all this SoulPower, but I just would love it so much. I am quite a Punkette type. I would love to see Prince get Freaky like that. What does Black have to do with it? Why there are no Black Punks? Bull! See SoulPower that's not the right thing to say. I'm sure alot of Black Performers could be getting Freaky and Getting into Punk if they wanted too. I'm all for Black Power you know. Im not talking about Militant fighting you know ,but Rap is Cool and maybe more Black Performers will get Wild. George Clinton is Freaky and What happened with Cameo? Listen, I think all that stuff and the Super Freak of Rick James was the best. Prince will Always be my Favorite no matter what besides Mick but I just think he needs to be more Free and Open. Maybe it's not what he wants maybe he is that way in his home. I just know he was the Wildest thing and I wanna see it again. I was too young to see those Early shows as were most fans we really would love to see that Dirty Mind Mentality. That sound that is Raw and Un-Manufactured. Listen, that album or even 1999 was like no other. Instead of UPTOWN-GANGSTER. I swear Prince needs DOWNTOWN-VILLAGE. I KNOW I'm Right! Fans would Love that Early Stuff and Sound. Not only would he keep the same fans he'd make new fans also. I am 100% right!
