Listened to this again yesterday. It's fantastic but how much better if had been a genuine Prince ablum. No one can scream like Prince. It coulda been one of his top 5 albums, every track has something special.

Indeed a very good album, the concept of mixing the Minneapolis sound with lavish orchestral arrangements is 'candy for the ears'.

But also a shame Prince didnt release this versions himselve, i mean, with his own lead vocals on them. St. Paul is not a bad singer, but he is obviously 'copying' the vocal tracks Prince recorded for the demo's, without offering the passion and soul carries in his voice.

There's already one Prince album like it already. It's called "Parade" and that was one too many.

Yeah P should have kept this 1. I love his versions of High Fashion, Mutiny & Desire

I like this album's version of that one song by that one pope-hatin' bald chick.

Hopefully one day Prince will make available his versions of these songs. Then we'll know how they were truly meant to sound.
