I just taught myself how to play the 'hook' to Karmasutra and How come you don't call me anymore...and I would love to play with him (pun intended But I know what you mean about Emancipation Disc 2...It's a spiritual thing...
Yeah, the song he did at the end was really good. I wanted to get up and dance, but wow, he was all the over the place. He was dancing on the piano and doing splits... but that whole thing in the station and him playing Purple Rain on the piano just got to me, made me wanna cry. It's just so beautiful and so is his music and his soul. [in response to Jesse McCartney's song, "Beautiful Soul"] you don't know what a beautiful soul is until you've seen Prince [in person or in an one-on-one interview]. Actually, beautiful soul doesn't even cover Prince because he's SO MUCH more than that. There is no limit to what he can do as there is no limit to the number of words that describe him. To be completely honest, I don't think there is one word in the English language that can describe him in one word, except that overall, he is "indescribable" I just love Oprah's face when he plays her 'Let's Have A Baby' she's just entranced by the whole experience...and her reaction sitting at the piano...that would be me...no expression just in awe. I have this Oprah ep. on VHS...Every now and then I'll pop it in and it takes me back to that time...it was both a highpoint and lowpoint in his life. He was so adorable during the whole interview..you just wanted to hold him. This VHS tape I take care of as it also has Madonna's first time on Oprah as well as the MTV 'Evita' premiere party....good stuff! peace Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Wasn't the Oprah interview done AFTER the news had leaked about Prince and Mayte's loss? Wasn't that why it was so akward? That so many people knew the baby had passed but he and Mayte we talking as if all was well? Please, correct me if I'm wrong. Or, was it that the baby passed shortly after the interview? Requesting clarification. I just can't imagine how Mayte could have carried on like all was okay. How could he have carried on? I know, I know, that's just how he is. He probably just could not bring himself to be out about something so deeply personal. But, if I was Mayte, I don't think I could carry through talking as if all was well. I would have had to just escape for a while--a long while.

No I'm sure the baby died shortly after, but it was ill at the time of the interview. That's the news that leaked 2 the press.

I know that it's a very slim chance,
but y'all wouldn't happen to know if housequake.com is running any other old Oprah clips? My collection is missing the one with Emeril cooking & the seond appearance, ever, of Dr. Phil. BTW, I'm taking a big chance by asking y'all this. If my buddies found out that I'm an all-out Oprah fam, they wouldn't hesitate to kick my ass out in the parking lot. So holla back only like the discretional "peeps" that I know y'all are..... [Edited 3/3/07 1:22am]
