Make up of face lift?

Ok, I am ready to receive tomatoes here but I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering yet the one daring to ask:

At the Superbowl press conference, if you look at the pictures, he kinda looks tired and older.
Then, he shows up at the Superbowl and suddenly his face is smooth, orangy and silky like and stayed about the same since then?

I'd say face lift?

His face wasn't too far from the ground to begin with. If it was it probably wasn't lifted that high.

I'd have to say "No", because that was only a three-day turnover. There is no way he could get a nip-and-tuck, recover, and rehearse, plus hang out the way he did.... U have to allow for "bandage time". He probably just got some rest at some point.

(U were serious, weren't U? I'll spare U the tomatoes- How 'bout if I do this instead? fishslap) lol

A combination of these two:

1) The head-wrap do-rag thing was stretching his skin to eliminate whatever wrinkles he has on it.

2) The cold rain was causing his skin to tighten so when the do-rag was finally removed, the wrinkles took a long time to set.

I can say from personal experience, no way a face lift. You have to pack your face in ice for 48 hours, there's sutures behind the ears with staples that get hot if you blow dry and are removed in a week, there's swelling and tightness that eliminates moving one's head side to side....It takes up to 6 months for the swelling to fully go down.
There isn't anything involving a plastic surgeon that has a recovery of 3 days.
He just needed a good 12 hour sleep.

The press conference was in a small room with bright flurescent lights, recorded with cameras that were very close to the action. The Superbowl was outside, at night time, recorded with some cameras that were zoomed in from far away and let's not forget the shit load of rain pouring down! Of course it's going to be easier to hide the wrinkles in those circumstances!!!

I saw a facelift done on the Discovery channel and I was THROUGH when they cut that woman's scalp from ear to ear then pulled her face down to her nose and chin. Then in recovery she had tubes underneath her skin going out the back of her neck to drain fluid for like 2 weeks. Then when they pulled em out you could see them UNDER her skin. And she was black and blue for like 6 weeks. As Whitney said, "Hell to the motherfuckin' naw!" no no no! feeling ill disbelief

From UK gossip Magazine

Which American music legend has prepared fro his new album, global tour and new US concerts in the only way he knows how. This showman keeps his looks youthful with regular trips to plastic surgeon. His face is so taunt its a miracle he can still reach those high notes

I don't believe he's had surgery, maybe a little botox. His face is still too full of expression (see funk faces galor) to be pulled so tightly.

JW edit: oops, wait, would Botox even be allowed?

I'd say Black people genes, they just don't age as fast as some other races do. A good night sleep, a couple vitamins some fruits and veggies, and it's all good. biggrin

He probably was more rested for the Superbowl. I've noticed that when Prince is tired, it shows quickly in his posture and his face.

Maybe they are talking about Michael Jackson. He too has worked on a new album, possible tour and we all know about trips to the plastic surgeon. I don't buy the fact that Prince has gone for plastic surgery. Look at the pics with Eva Longoria at the game, you can see the age on his face. For an aging man at 48, he looks amazing.

You get prescriptions for pain meds and Valium for the down time which I used for two days. It was a little sore for a while, but tolerable.

For me, yes. I'm in my 50's. It's a personal choice.

She must have had a forehead lift. I didn't do that. That's more involved and my impression, for women much older.
Another thing, with gastric banding and weight loss surgeries, after the weight is lost there's a large amount of loose flesh that needs to be removed. All over the body. Face, pendulectomy, arms, etc.

I agree completely. He's still looking good. The difference is, as you age, when you become fatigued, you look it. In your youth, you can party all night and work the next day and look decent. Late 30's on, the lack of sleep shows.
Prince looked tired at the press conference and had to be stressed over the event.
I don't believe botox is injected under the eye for "bagginess". A co-worker was given botox at the corner of her eyes ( the surgeon added as a freebie as other minor things were done) it absorbed in her facial nerve and she couldn't smile for 9 months. Botox has limited uses.
Also, diet plays an important role in the aging process. I know a few people who have been strict vegetarian for 35 years and are 60. They look 70+++. There may be other factors. The local climate, etc. ages the skin.
