I want to become a member of the NPGMC, but i need to know if it is worth it? i need to know this before i spend $100 to join, please help me out with this,Thanks.

Well, on one hand if you consider being able to sit in on soundchecks and actually talk to the man, and SOMETIMES being able to get into afterparties for free it is well worth $100.00.
If you live someplace that Prince does not visit often then you may not want to get a membership.
I for one am not going to purchase another membership until we go back to the way things were last year, when we got downloads of music and videos every month.
It makes no sense that we have to wait this long between albums.
Just a couple things for you to consider.

I think it's worth it...i liked the ONA cd, i like having access to the concert presales-insuring i get better seats, warmup shows, the yearly Celebration, etc; non-members didn't have much access to the Celebration(there were limited day and night passes for non-members).

I'm looking forward to 3 live CD's being mailed to me very soon, and hopefully getting first dibs on a new studio album before it comes out in stores.

I waited a year before joining and regret that. I would definitely recommend it if you are truly a fan.

Get or receive? I'm not sure what you're getting at and i don't care. One CD has arrived in my mailbox already, and i expect 3 more before Feb 2003. If they're all live CD's, cool with me.

I am in the US and I have yet to see a concert, soundcheck, aftershow, etc. I assume that i will get the ONA cd (30 some odd mins) and the newest live cd (double) by the years end.

hey cat!!! yeah you REALLY receive music in the mail. what's more, you actually get it in the mail from the actual npgmc. of course, if you join now, chances are you won't get in on this mailing. and they'll never give you a definite answer. my suggestion? get 'em online. it's funny that unless something REALLY amazing is released only to club members, there ain't no WAY i'm joining the club next year (unless of course he plays a concert in my area, in which case all bets are off!!! in that case it is WELL worth the money).

If you're doing it just for the CDs, based on Princes track record you may be dissapointed in both the quality
of the music as well as its delivery.

If you look at it as spending an extra 100 bucks for primo seating at his concert, you'll love it.

this club isnt worth it so far, sure, its great see'in prince 2 feet away from me in concert/soundcheck.. but eye didnt sign up 4 that, eye signed up 4 some cd's and eye've only recieved about 5 or 6 songs eye didnt have.. Meaning the ONA cd..


if they would send something else out.. things might start looking up, but d@mn.. what gives? he gonna give all of our cd's one day b4 the club ends? if thats the case, screw signing up next year, find a new fan!


eye'd rather sign up 2 a cookie club for 100 dollars.. at least eye'll know eye will get the goods

Why not give it to npgmc and get the best seats at his shows, Bring a friend and let them see how large you are living at the show, sound checks, after parties, and first ones with the prince music. I was at a Best Buy the other day an I bought a couple of ink cartridges, a CD case and a couple of CDs. It cost more than $100.

What i'm saying is that you will probably end up pissing the cash away anyhow at some time. This way you are GUARANTEED 4 Prince CDs or even sets of CDs plus a couple of downloadable songs. They are most likely exclusive to club members unless you want to pay huge prices on Ebay.

I love the first disc One Nite Alone. I would have paid bootleg prices for it.

Be warned though: it takes much patience to be a member and since the Celebration is past, NPGMC is low on perks. Unless you like little tiny $25 candles for an unreleased project called Xenophobia...
