Hello everybody. I am currently doing my senior paper on Prince, his life in music , and those he influenced. So far I have almost everything done but there is one gray area for me. I've heard that he almost went bankrupt somewhere between 91 and 93 but I could never figure out why.Oh, and another thing, I have to do a presentation on him so I was wondering what's a good live/ or recorded video to show the class. I had the SNL version of 'Fury' in my mind but now I can't find it. Mind you most of the people in my class think Chris Brown is the best thing since sliced bread, a bunch still think he's gay and some do not even know who Prince is. I'm also getting kind of worried because my writing partner thought Prince's real name was Robert.....yea.... sorry for rambling. If someone can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

in terms of the chris brown thing i think that you should show prince as the song/dance man instead of him standing behind a guitar singing a rock song.
most young kats like me knew prince for him being a guitar player. not a entertainer/dancer.


maybe something hype like "housequake" from the SOTT movie would be better.

ask ur teacher if they mind the "shit" words first tho.

I don't think Prince was ever bankrupt. It was just a rumor. Leave this part out. Do you have to show a video? You could just bring one or two songs for the report. Maybe you could to buy a dvd of him playing live. Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas or Sign'o'Times I bet has some great live shows on it. Does your friend like Prince?

Thanks for telling me the bankruptcy stuff was a rumor. I honestly didn't know. As for my friend, she likes Prince a but lately she seems really uninterested in the topic. Now she'd rather do the paper on clothes at the Wet Seal, which is not happening. Technically we don't have to show a movie clip, but I thought it'd be more interesting then just doing a powerpoint with still photos of him.

lol my name is Krystal. I'd take you up on your offer but I'm almost done with the paper anyway. I only have the years 1990-2007. My friend has 1979-1989. And now that I think about it his R&R Hall of Fame induction is defiantly what I'm going to use. Thanks for the help.
