I had this idea. Prince is so many things and I thought it'd be cool if we could all compile a working definition of what Prince is. I see us making this really long, seemingly endless sentence describing up what Prince is. And each of us posts a single word (preferably an adjective) to add to the sentence.

I'll start with the word "incredible", so my sentence will read:

Prince is an incredible musician.

Then the next person who points will come up with another word, I'll just call it (...) and add it to the sentence before, so the new sentence will be:

Prince is an incredible, (...) musician. [the words put in bold can't be changed/deleted]

Let's see how many words we can come up with and let's stick to real words. Not ones that are made-up (like bootylicious, even if that's true about Prince), unless we're talking about a word that Prince has used in his lyrics, then that's allowed. But let's see what comes out of this.

I thought it'd be cool just to attempt making a "working" defintion of what Prince is as a person and an artist.

But then again, I don't think there are enough words in the English speaking language that could describe him. I'm a firm believer of that.

Man, I have yet to come up with a good thread that lasts more than a few days... what I can't stand is those people that are joking around about this matter with perverted adjectives. I mean, c'mon, grow up people.

The best way to get good responses to your threads is to come up with a unique and creative question. If the question is kind of general, chances are it's been covered many times before.

For example, I never want to see another "What's your favorite Prince song?" or "If you were stuck on a deserted island, which Prince album would you want to have?" thread again!

I haven't quite hit an all-time low during the month I have been a huge Prince fan (yeah I know, a month, that's not long to be a "worshipping" fan, but I do feel like I worship him, even though I shouldn't, it's unhealthy)

I do kinda a feel like he is a saviour, but I don't think, as of yet, he has saved me from anything.

Jesse McCartney was the guy I turned to to bring bring me back up when I was down, but we're closer in age, so naturally, yeah.

But if I ever do need a saviour and Prince feels that I need to be saved, he will step in and do so. I believe the same about my dreams, he'll make an appearance if he feels its right. To me, he comes and goes like the wind.

No, I don't know the song... I still have SO MUCH to learn and listen to. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still a Prince music newbie cuz I've only scratched the surface. I might have read the lyrics for it and like it, but I'm not sure. I've checked a lot of lyrics from Emancipation already and like what I see, that's why I'm interested in it.
