Prince's superbowl performance was the ****! I have just seen Prince's superbowl performance (I live in the UK) and that was simply one of the best performances EVER!!
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! The man totally, totally rocked, everything about it was NUTS! The stage, the songs, the perfomance, the guitars, the bands, the fireworks, got the crowds singing -- damn! Just HAD to get that off my chest! Totally legendary. I have had some concern over some recent public performances eg the brits, but this was AWESOME!! Even the rain seemed to maket he effect even more special. Have to give props to the man! PS - some ppl moaning about choreography.. it was raining, he or the girls could have slipped in their high heels at any moment.. they did so well not to fall over!! in all - 10000/10!! Totally nailed it, and great vocal performance too. Phew... prince, glad to have you back up there and not as someone having lost it! PurpleHouse The Tao te Ching gives advice to rulers:

What was wrong with the Brits? I thought it was one of the best tv performances he's ever done and really showcased his fantastic guitar playing. And you didn't get cameras full of raindrops obscuring the view. | |

The SuperBowl Performance was his BEST TV performance!! The more you watch it, the more you realize that!
Perfect song selection for the masses. AMAZING Idea for the FAMU Band to play! You can even Prince got a chill from Horns. You can tell he was feelin' it so much he forgot to bring it home with a final little ending solo on PR. FAMU was just bringing it. The whole performance was perfect! 1) Guitar Solos!!! Guitar Solos!!! Guitar Solos!!! 2) I love the middle when FAMU took over for a few seconds, it felt like Party Man. 3) The Rain, which handicapped him, well could have, but brought the biggest edge to the performance! For me the rain now is like the best part, for him to bring it like that in a storm? wow!! Shit the Football Players were fumbling and turning the ball over. Prince didnt fumble 
4) He hit every Era for everyone! a) He hit the Purple Rain Crowd b) He hit the Motown/1960's Crowd with Proud Mary c) He hit the Classic Rock with Watch Tower d) He hit the 1990's with The Best e) He had the FAMU Playing which was the Partman/Batman-ish Prince f) He had the old school sexual Prince with the Curtain g) He brought it home with Purple Rain, The best Encore you can ever have, everyone leaves happy. | |

It most certainly was an awesome perfomance. 
All throughout I was concerned for him. Rain makes the stage slippery and I was praying that he finishes his performance safely. I wanted to hand him a towel. | |
