I need to convert a friend to PRN. She loves Jam music like Phish and Allman Bros, etc. Shes does like different kinds of music, but doesnt know much about Prince other than Purple Rain and Diamonds and Pearls. She hated D&P and hasnt paid attention to his music because of that song.

Give me some ideas for her to see that Prince can jam too-

I always find the best way to convert non-fans is to play them your favorite songs (as opposed to playing songs you think they will like). But you must explain to them why you love those particular songs - give them context to work with. It's also better to work on the "less is more" strategy, that is, don't flood them with too much too soon.

I always find that Prince fans have their own little story about how they became fans. It's rare that you get someone saying "my friend gave me a mix tape and I loved it!!" . People have to feel as if they're discovering it for themselves!
