What's the last Prince album you listened to in full and in order?

In this day and age, I listen to lots of music on shuffle - typically on huge playlists. It seems that Musicology and 3121 are almost intented as collections of songs, rather than real albums to be listened to in sequence. Take any song out of context from M/3121 and put it in a mix, and it doesn't really lose anything as a result.

That said, I like to listen to the pre-digital-age albums in order. When's the last time you listened to a Prince album in full? Which album was it?

For me, it was Chaos And Disorder, as I was driving around town a couple of weeks ago. You?

Very interesting point, and well made!

Sign O' The Times was mine. Every few months I'll take a little time out to just sit there with my eyes closed and listen to the whole thing.

Nice track! Some dodgy rhymes, but the vocals are absolutely gorgeous. Must listen to that when I get home!

I tend to listen to all of my music on shuffle and I have Prince music plus associated artists, gospel, inspirational, rock, classical, oldies, funk, old school hip hop etc, so it all gets mixed together. A couple of weeks ago I was listening to the Prince podcast about Purple Rain and they went through the album track by track. I realized how much I missed listening to an entire album in order so I picked 1999, took my ipod off of shuffle and listened to it on the way home from work. Brought me back to when I used to listen to it on vinyl. cool I plan to do this more often.

I almost always listen to the albums in full.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still haven't joined the "iPod/random playlist" trend of listening to music. I prefer to listen to albums straight through.
