Someone tells you that you can shadow Prince for an entire week, but you have to take the "Prince challenge" and successfully complete it to win this opportunity.

The Prince challenge is:
Listen to everything Prince has ever released
Listen to every bootleg that hasn't been officially released
Watch all his TV appearances
Watch all his taped concerts
Watch all his films
Watch all his music videos
Read every single magazine entry ever written about him
And read every single autobiography ever written about him
BUT you can only take necessary breaks (ie eating/drinking, bathroom, and sleep; because you know this isn't a one day type of thing).

How long would it take? Would you still love Prince after you were done? Would you still be sane? Would you still be conscious? Would the grand prize be worth it as is; or would you expect some financial compensation for the pain and suffering you had to endure listening to "Chaos and Disorder" and for many "NewPowerSoul"; watching "Three Chains 'O Gold" and for many "Grafitti Bridge"; and all that damn reading? How dedicated are you to his Royal Badness? Would you accept the Prince Challenge?

Yes considering all I'd have to do is read some of the magazines that I might have missed. It's a piece of cake, Chaos & Disorder I love, can go by memory for NPS and Grafitti Bridge. So a little cheating would be done seeing I've done most of this already. How long? Not long.

Yeah, I'm going to remove reading the autobiographies. In my life, there has only been one time where I have read a 300+ page book in less than two days and that's because I loved the story and didn't put the book down. I was reading it while eating and in the bathroom. That book was literally attached to my hand for 2 days. Reading magazine articles wouldn't take that long, because they usually don't exceed 5 pages, so I'll leave them.

It took me 13 days 2 listen 2 all of Prince's records and bootlegs that I have... it was a funky, purple summer

Well, like most contests, they usually put you in a monitored environment where they can monitor the contestants to be sure that no one is cheating. Pick contestants and put them in a video monitored area with an audio section, a video section, and a quiet room for the reading section. If Prince is the head judge, he could have the competition at Paisley Park and have his staff monitor the contestants. That would make it more interesting.

I couldn't do it without a break. There is a bunch of Prince bootlegs I just can't stand.

I know. There are some Prince albums that I have only listened to once and hated them ("The Vault" comes to mind), but that's why it's a challenge. They would have to allow breaks, because I think it's illegal to hold people for an extended period of time and not allow a break or two; like the breaks you have to take when you do standardized tests in school. Without breaks, it would be like imprisonment.

i understand what you mean! this would take a while. but, it would be worth it because atleast you're doing all this research and stuff on something you're thoroughly interested in rather than something you hate.

Honestly, I've always wondered this to. For shows like "Survivor", "The Real World", "Road Rules", and "American Idol", who pays these people's bills, since they are in competition for months at a time? I think their families foot the bill, but I'm not sure. I'll have to research this.
