Why does Prince lead people on?

Why does Prince lead people on? Speaking about the thread regarding Tamar and
the album that never was released, he just milked her of her musical talents and was like see ya ! Look at the other artist he's done this too, like Rosie Gaines is another one done the same way as Tamar. How about the many musicians
that he's worked with and did'nt give them credit on the their contribution on the writing of the song or the music( Andre Cymone, Wendy & Lisa, Morris Day,
Levi Seacer Jr.,Matt Fink and Eric Leeds just to name a few.). How many times have you heard of people working with Prince and not being compensated for it.
Why does seem to take people for granted, it kind of reminds me of the scene from Purple Rain when he and Wendy and Lisa had words about not wanting to do
their music,

you know, tamar got to headline a tour with prince as her guitar player, and he hyped the daylights out of her for about half a year, including when he should have been hyping his OWN album. a lot of people would kill just to have THAT much of an opportunity. i think she got a raw deal, but i don't think it was necessarily a case of prince using her. he gave her the spotlight, which is fairly rare of him to do.

eric leeds, and rosie gaines, have complained repeatedly about not getting proper credit. SO WHY DO THE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH HIM WHEN HE CALLS.

for instance, rosie left the band because of this sort of thing, but then in 96 she worked with him again (later complaining of not being compensated, and still shares the stage with him when given the chance.

hey artists, if you deserve credit, you get it! if you dont get the credit you deserve, then you dont work with him again.....

Do you actually think Prince needs any of these peoples help. I think he has proven that he can do it all on his own.

If these people's "ideas" were so make & break then Prince would have been over the moment these people left.

Just show Prince where to plug in his Mic & Guitar and he will make millions. cool

sounds simple enough but musical talent is pretty plentiful and the biz is so competitive that playing for Prince would probably be the best thing they have going. It's like accepting a dishwashing job when you know you deserve better, we all have to make those choices.

A lot of times when there is a group of people in a business deal, there are conflicts. We don't know what went on between Prince and the other band members. Maybe they expected too much? Some of the issues that seemed unfair to Tamar wasnot really Prince's doing. Was it Prince's fault that her cd wasnot released by Universal or was it Universal's responsibility? She got to sing on every track on 3121. Pretty lucky. Maybe some of these people tried to hit on Prince and he wasn't interested? The list for reasons goes on and on.

I will say I do miss Takumi and blame Prince for his departure.
